We're delighted to announce that our continuous monitoring solution, Nubo Sphere, is part of an innovative project led by GTI Energy, Colorado State University and SLR Consulting! This initiative, funded by the US Department of Energy (DOE) under the iM4 Technologies funding opportunity, aims to improve the accuracy and completeness of methane emissions reporting from storage tanks.

The project will involve field measurements at a diverse range of facilities across the country, with a focus on upstream where natural gas comes into contact with liquids in tanks, and will run for three years, involving hundreds of facilities for snapshot measurements and long-term monitoring.

Our continuous monitoring solution Nubo Sphere will be used as one of the long-term monitoring technologies to help the project team to:
↪ Measure and analyze methane emissions from a representative sample of tanks
↪ Provide guidance on the effectiveness of tank monitoring and control systems
↪ Support the development of emission factors that are sensitive to differences between basins, types of production, and the age of facilities

This collaboration will not only improve emissions reporting but will also make a significant contribution to emissions reduction efforts, in line with our commitment to sustainability and innovation. We would like to thank GTI Energy, Colorado State University and SLR Consulting for choosing Nubo Sphere and for their confidence in our continuous monitoring solution!

Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this groundbreaking journey to positively impact our environment! 🌱💼
